Castiglione Tinella’s hills offer unnumbered possibilities for outings on foot or by bike – it will be our pleasure to recommend the best itineraries. Bikes are available to you for free at the Albergo; if you prefer, you can rent a four-wheeler or scooter. |
Aviation
Just 5 km from the Albergo lies the airfield of Boglietto di Costigliole d’Asti. Accompanied by expert pilots, you can take off in an ultra-light airplane, a motored deltaplane, or a hot air balloon to fly over the hills and castles of Langhe, such as those of Grinzane, Barolo and Serralunga d’Alba. |
Horseback riding
From the locality of San Bovo, in the town of Castino just 10 km from the Albergo, you can go on excursions on horseback along the paths which wind their way through forests and vineyards. At the stables in San Bovo it is also possible to take horseback riding lessons for beginners using their structures. |

Wine cellars
We organize tours of local producers’ wine cellars and of picturesque sites such as the underground Cathedrals (recognized by UNESCO as one of the World Heritage sites), which include historic cellars such as Bosca, Contratto, Coppo and Gancia. |
Golf
For golf lovers we recommend the best golf courses which are within a brief distance of the Albergo. Margara Golf Course, near Asti, for example, is considered one of the most beautiful courses in Piedmont. |
Markets
Among the traditional events which appeal the most to our guests, especially to those coming from overseas, are the antique, contemporary collectors’ and Piemontese handcraft markets, such as those held in Nizza Monferrato and Cherasco. |
